Expectant mothers

Air transportation of expectant mothers is permitted on condition that there are no fewer than four weeks before the due date and there is no danger of premature birth.

The expectant mothers have to:

• provide an exchange card and medical report proving the lack of contraindications for air transportation
• sign a waiver form releasing POLET from responsibility for any consequences or resulting health decline.

Children

When children are flying, the accompanying person must provide the child's certificate of birth.

Children under two years old

You are entitled to carry one child (0 to two years of age) for free on local flights and with a discount of 90% from normal fares in economy class on international flights. Spare seats for childdren under two years of age are not provided.

If more than one child under two years old is flying the rules of transportation children from 2 to 12 years old are applicable.

The following goods maby be taken onboard:

• baby food, as necessary during the flight, in volumes exceeding the limitations of liquids, gels and aerosols in the hand-bag
• baby supplies, as necessary during the flight, i.e. diapers, wipes, toys exceeding the limitations of carried baggage
• stroller, if agreed upon with a representative

Important! It is not recommended that new-born children under 8 days old be transported by air.

Children from two to twelve years old

Children from 2 to 12 years old may travel at 50% from normal fares in economy class and with a separate seat. The discount is good on both local and international flights.

Passengers flying abroad with children

When flying abroad with children you must have original and notarized copies of documents, proving your relationship (guardianship, adoption, trusteeship):

1. Certificate of birth provided the last names are the same
2. Certificate of birth and certificates of all applicable marriages if last names are different 
3. Documents proving your guardianship, adoption, trusteeship provided the parents are deceased, missing, or deprived of their parental rights.

Important! The only legal document, proving your relationship is the certificate of the child's birth. A similarity of the names, including the childs and your foreign passport does not prove relation. In absence of such documents proving your relation, underage children may be refused transportation.

Unaccompanied children

Children from 5 to 14 may fly without accompaniment.

Attention! Flight cost for unaccompanied children is the same as for adult passengers.

For ticket acceptance for the unaccompanied child, you will need to:

• sign an agreement for underage child transportation
• List, in this document, contact information for all parties who will accompany the child upon arrival and departure
• provide notarized parental/guardian approval for transportation of the underage child.

Polet Airlines accepts underage children only on condition that they are being seen off and met by authorized persons.

Disabled people

Prior to ticket acceptance, a Polet Airlines staff member must be informed if you are disabled, visually or hearing impaired; you must specify whether wheelchair carriage is necessary, wheelchair dimensions, and specification (whether or not it is collapsable; also information regarding guide-dog necessity.

Disabled, visually/hearing impaired passengers must:

• provide medical reports proving lack of contraindications for air transportation. A report must also state any special requirements or conditions for transportation
• sign a waiver form releasing Polet Airlines from responsibility for any consequences or resulting health decline

Disabled, visually/hearing impaired passenger transportation is allowed providing the presence of an accompanying person, who can care for the disabled passenger during the flight. In case of visually impaired passengers, a guide-dog is adequate.

Medicine as necessary during the flight, wheelchairs, crutches, guide-dogs (for visually impaired passengers) are transported for free.

Attention! Polet Airlines receives the right to refuse in transportation to:

• sick persons, if their condition may threaten the safety of the flight or comfort of other individuals
• persons confined to a wheelchair or stretcher if aircraft facillities do not allow for such

Animals

If you must carry an animal onboard, you must also inform an agent when presenting your ticket.

Animals and birds are allowed to transportation only on preliminary agreement with Polet and carried only in the passenger compartment in specially equipped containers.

Important! Total weight (animal plus container) must not exceed 8 (eight) kg.

Total weight of animal and container is not included into free baggage and is charged as excess baggage. (Guide-dogs may be carried for free.)
