Flight phobia

Relative to the tremendous growth of passenger aviation, there are millions of people who experience flight phobias.

Flight phobia is the normal reaction of a person's body towards nonstandard conditions. Apprehensiveness is natural in all people.

It's important to distinguish between useful fear and abnormal fear. If your fear results in  slightly elevated anxiety, you have nothing to worry about. If you experience uncontrolled extended periods of shivering, panic, pulse spike, or shortness of breath, then immediate measures must to be taken.

Try not to worry about the flight, think of air transportation as something routine and normal.

Invite somebody you trust to fly with you.

During the flight, occupy yourself with something else. Read, have a snack, daydream, or take a nap.

Recommendations

To feel more comfortable during the flight, Polet Airlines would like to give you the following recommendations:

  • For your journey choose comfortable clothes and shoes. Do not tighten your belt or tie
  • Do not overeat before or during the flight; it will help keep your stomach calm
  • While sitting in your seat, try not to cross your legs; change leg positions more often
