Preflight and postflight screening rules

"Preflight and postflight screening rules" are approved by the Transportation Minister of the Russian Federation and are subject to compulsory  implementation for everyone.

Per rules, passengers are prohibited from carrying aboard the following goods: 

Within checked baggage and passenger's personals onboard:

• fire and steel arms of all types, including gas spray devices
• gas spray cans and cartridges to gas spray devices/revolvers
• explosives and goods embedded with explosives, ammunition, or pyrotechnic devices;
• compressed and liquefied gasses for domestic use
• poison and irritating substances
• flammable solids and liquids
• acid materials and other substances
• magnetized materials
• radioactive materials
• mercury
• wild animals, birds and insects
• other materials and substances with the potential to cause passenger or aircraft harm, including onboard property damage or items to be used in the commitment of unlawful acts as designated by Polet Airlines.

 In passenger's personal belonging onboard

• fire, gas, pneumatic, cold and mechanic arms of all types
• guns, revolvers, rifles, carbines and other fire, gas, pneumatic arms, electroshock devices including imitations or replicas
• crossbows, rifles for underwater hunting, sabers, swords, hatchets, yataghans, broadswords, falchions, rapiers, bayonets, daggers, dirks, stylets, knives (for hunting, landing, finishing, knife-bayonets, knives with ejectable blades, locks and domestic knives despite their purpose
• nail devices

Important! Polet Airlines reserves the right to introduce additional measures or regulations with respect to providing flight safety. The following goods are prohibited from being carried onboard:

• corkscrews
• hypodermic needles (unless clinical necessity is proven)
• knitting needles
• scissors with blades more than 60 mm
• jack-knives (without fixation), penknives with blades more than 60 mm

Customs clearance

Please, review the list of goods, the import of which is allowed only under authority of authorized organizations:

• Weapons and ammunition: IAA permission is required
• Radio-electronic devices (radiophones, radio devices, satellite communications systems, etc. excluding cellular networks of federal or local standards, temporarily imported to the Russian Federation) - permission of Service of State Supervision over Communications is required
• Sturgeon roe in quantities over 250g, factory-packaged - the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade license is required
• All types of sturgeon and extracted goods - the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade license is required
• Importable animals - Federal Service for Veterinarian and Vegetation Sanitary Supervision license and CITES certificate are required
• Importable plants - Federal Service for Veterinarian and Vegetation Sanitary Supervision license and CITES certificate are required

Please, review the list of goods, the import of which is allowed only under authority of authorized organizations:

• Sturgeon roe in quantity over 250 g, factory-packaged - the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade license is required
• All types of sturgeon and extracted goods - the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade license is required
• Items of cultural value (including all types of collections, musical instruments, goods created more than 50 years ago, etc.) - Ministry of Culture and Mass Communication certificate or documents, issued by customs authority on the importation of items of cultural value (for example, passenger's customs declaration)
• Importable animals - Federal Service for Veterinarian and Vegetation Sanitary Supervision license and CITES certificate are required
• Importable plants - Federal Service for Veterinarian and Vegetation Sanitary Supervision license and CITES certificate are required
