Rules of conduct

Rules of passenger behavior

To ensure flight safety, improve the quality of service and to prevent disruptions onboard, Polet Airlines has developed and utilizes the following Rules of passenger behavior.

The passenger has the right to:

  • require the granting  of all services, provided in the agreement of air transportation
  • refer to Polet Airlines representatives and obtain their protection in cases regarding personal safely or endagerment.

Passenger must:

In pre-flight preparation

  • pack their hand-bags and baggage personally or be present during packing by other people
  • refuse to allow unknown persons to carry their baggage/packages
  • not leave their belongings unattended until they have been checked into Polet Airlines care

during check-in

  • have documents, proving their identity
  • inform the staff as to the presence  of any weapons or electronic devices; be prepared to answer questions regarding baggage or packages
  • disclose whether or not baggage been left unattended
  • answer information regarding the contents of baggage
  • present baggage for inspection

during check-in and boarding

  • inform the staff about any electronic devices or means of communication
  • present your hand-bag and personal items for inspection
  • go through pre-flight check
  • maintain established rules of aviation security, rules of passenger behavior during pre-flight check and on-board, and assist aviation personnel and flight crew as needed

on-board

  • comply with all requirements and recommendations of the aircraft commander and flight crew
  • place hand-bags and personal belongings in locations designated by flight crew
  • maintain generally accepted public conduct
  • keep seatbelts fastened when the "fasten seatbelts" sign is lit and keep them fastened until the flight crew states otherwise
  • maintain discipline and order

Passengers are prohibited from:

  • creating situations which compromise flight safety threaten the life, health or personal dignity of other passengers or personnel
  • consuming alcoholic beverages, other than those provided onboard
  • smoke onboard during the duration of the flight
  • use emergency equipment without crew's instruction
  • use electronic devices during taxiing, take-off and landing of the aircraft
  • create discomfort or disruption for other people or crew member, which prevent normal flight operation
  • damage or remove Aircompany property 

 Violation of any above-stated requirements, international air law, national legislation of 166 countries, ratified convention of "crimes and other actions, performed on the aircraft board" (Tokyo, 1963), including the Russian Federation and valid rules of passenger's behavior, regulated by Polet Airlines, sanction the following: 

  • cessastion of alcoholic beverage service, if the passenger is under the influence of alcohol or any other intoxicating substance
  • confiscation of any alcohol in the posession of the passenger during flight time (returned after landing) including those purchased in duty-free shops
  • enforcement measures on passengers refusing to abide by the instructions of the aircraft commander
  • removal of passengers to the nearest landing point, and in case of emergency landing, extra charges to the passenger as a result of abhorrent  behavior
  • transfer of such passengers to local law-enforcement authorities regardless of country of landing
  • financial damage compensation, when caused by the passenger with respect to damaged property
  • safe keeping/incarceration (in some countries up to 2 years)
  • imposing of monetary fines (in some countries up to $3000);
  • deprivation of carrier services including dissolution of contract without compensation
  • visa revocation for those issued by the Russian Federation as well as other countries
  • Release of passenger name to mass-media and web-sites with regard to incident
