First commercial launch of Proton-M in 2010 - Main transportation agent of Roscosmos participates in launch preparation
January 12, 2010 – Aircraft AN-124-100 ‘Ruslan’ delivered Breeze M upper stage rocket for Proton-M to Baikonur Cosmodrome. This was an order of Khrunichev centre to Aircompany Polet, main transportation agent of Roscosmos.
January 11, 2009 – Polet’s ‘Ruslan’ brought containers with Intelsat 16 communication satellite to the cosmodrome. This satellite was built by US Orbital Sciences Corporation for Intelsat Ltd., world’s largest commercial satellite communications services provider. The launch of Proton-M with Intelsat 16 apparatus is planned for February.
