Polet’s IL-96-400T wins its positions in Europe
On November 23, 2009, the IL-96-400Т ‘Valery Menitsky’ side no. RA 96102 operated by Polet Airlines landed at Vienna International Airport.
It is a first landing of IL-96-400Т jets in Austria. The aircraft making its flight at Seoul-Vienna route with a technical stop in Novosibirsk carried to Vienna over 80 tons of palletized cargo.
Polet Airlines has two IL-96-400Ts in its fleet, and the third one at this time is passing the technical acceptance procedures. The company plans to start the commercial operation of third IL-96-400T by the end of 2009.
In accordance with strategy announce earlier, Polet Airlines is planning to expand its area of cargo carriages by IL-96-400T, and the cargo flight to Vienna is a vivid example of it.
