An Il-96-400T cargo compartment arrangement allows the use of different loading charts and unit load devices when distributing cargo.

The aircraft has two cargo decks: the upper and the lower.

The upper deck represents a cargo compartment of 580 m3. The loading to the upper deck is performed by a loader through the cargo portal with dimensions of 4850 *2875 mm, located starboard, which allows operating with outsized cargo.

In Il-96-400T aircraft the cargo distribution is held through modern ULD. It is possible to verify the pallets at the upper deck of the aircraft.

The lower deck consists of two cargo compartments with dimensions of 114 m3 and 82 m3 accordingly. The loading is carried out by a loader tower through two cargo doors located starboard at the nose and the tail parts of the aircraft with dimensions of 2690*1840 mm and 2690*1730 mm respectively. The lower deck parameters allow performing cargo loading in the following variants of pallets' arrangement.

Maximum load of this aircraft is 92 tons. Both cargo compartments are certified with and correspond to the IACA standards in the part of preventing illegal penetration to the cargo compartments and directly to cargo. All this makes possible to maximize flight safety and provide the highest level of cargo safety.
